Currently the centre cares for approximately 150 birds, of 20 different species. Where possible, native species are released in Sulawesi, however there are many birds that have nowhere else safe to go.
Volunteer duties involve a certain amount of cleaning enclosures and feeding, but mainly the tasks are focussed on enrichments and upgrading enclosures. Volunteers are absolutely essential for maintaining the standards of animal welfare we aim to achieve.
